Red zone: Cégep Garneau reorganizes its mid-term exams

As the Quebec City region is still in the red zone, Cégep Garneau indicated that most mid-term exams will be done at home rather than in class.

Despite everything, some evaluations need to be carried out at CEGEP, management said in a press release sent on Saturday.

For these exams, the number of students admitted per room has been reduced to 23.

During the next two weeks, the gyms will also be used for evaluations that cannot be done at home.

However, they will not be able to accommodate more than 50 students at a time, while they have the capacity to receive 200, even when social distancing is respected.

At the start of the session, Cégep Garneau had implemented several measures so that as many courses and exams as possible could take place inside the establishment, considering this approach to be more effective in countering plagiarism. .

Management, however, had to revise its plans in the face of the outbreak of coronavirus cases in the nation’s capital.

Today, only the courses that cannot be held by videoconference still take place at the CEGEP, the laboratories among others.
