The Montreal Canadiens granted defenseman Xavier Ouellet a two-year contract extension on Friday.
The two-pronged deal will net the 27-year-old athlete $ 725,000 in the National Hockey League (NHL) and $ 425,000 in the American Hockey League (AHL) in the first year.
