The Ottawa Senators on Thursday awarded a three-year, $ 15 million contract to forward Evgenii Dadonov.
The latter will receive $ 3.5 million next season, then $ 5 million during the following campaign and the rest of the amount planned in 2022-2023. The pact includes a partial no-trade clause, according to The Athletic website. The Russian skater may therefore require not to be sent to ten teams.
Dadonov had 25 goals and 22 assists for 47 points in 69 games with the Florida Panthers in the last regular season. He has hit the 25-goal mark in each of the most recent three years.
“We are happy to have entered into an agreement with Evgenii. He is a talented elite player and has been a very consistent scorer, as evidenced by his point total over the past three seasons. This is a key signing for us as it adds a player that will help us produce more in attack. His power-play record is there to prove it, ”Senators general manager Pierre Dorion said in a press release.
The club’s new acquisition claims 202 points, including 91 goals, in 280 career clashes.
