The Atlanta Braves had four runs in the ninth inning, which saw them defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 on Monday night in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.
During the final engagement, Austin Riley, Ozzie Albies and Marcell Ozuna took advantage of the generosity of the relievers of the Dodgers to distance their rivals. The first two have also ejected the ball outside the limits of the field.
Pitcher Mark Melancon then got the job done on the mound and got the rescue.
The Braves’ first point was produced by a solo homer by Freddie Freeman. The Dodgers’ only point was also scored by a long ball. It is Enrique Hernandez who was the author.
Even though he didn’t secure the win, Braves starter Max Fried had a strong game. In six innings of work, he allowed one run on four hits and two walks. He also struck out nine opponents.
