A former Couillard lobbyist strategist

The former director of communications planning in the office of Prime Minister Philippe Couillard knocks on the door of the State to obtain public contracts for a security firm, found The newspaper.

Last Thursday, Natacha Joncas Boudreau registered in the Registry of Lobbyists to seek security contracts for the Quebec company SIRCO, owned by Claude A. Sarrazin.

In total, Natacha Joncas Boudreau targets two ministries, that of Health and Public Safety.

“The services offered are aimed in particular at carrying out surveys, traceability and the preventive detection of potentially problematic situations”, we can read in the registration.

For his activities, the former strategist of Philippe Couillard, from October 2017 to October 2018, should receive between $ 10,000 and $ 50,000, the register indicates.

In addition to having advised the former Prime Minister, Natacha Joncas Boudreau was the press secretary to the former Minister of Health Yves Bolduc.

“Natacha has developed a more specific expertise in the field of health by working on many files, such as the legalization of cannabis, the revision of the Tobacco Act and the policy of prevention in health”, specifies her biography at the Citizen public relations firm.

Investigators

Joined by The newspaper, Natacha Joncas Boudreau confirmed that she had just been hired as a lobbyist by Claude Sarrazin’s security firm.

“SIRCO saw like everyone else the government’s call to find investigators. The government is lacking the staff to carry out epidemiological investigations to trace cases, ”she explained.

Natacha Joncas Boudreau added that SIRCO wanted to meet the government’s urgent needs in the midst of COVID-19.

“We simply offered the services of SIRCO. We shared the expertise they had and the help they can provide to the government, but we are really no further than that in any discussion whatsoever, ”she concluded.

Natacha Joncas Boudreau joined the team of the public relations firm Citoyen in January 2019 as a consulting director.
