Vegas Golden Knights goalie Robin Lehner will have a shoulder surgery in the next week.
This is what the general manager Kelly McCrimmon said Monday evening, during a press conference.
“[Il s’agit] of an uncomplicated operation. This is what we call a cleaning surgery ”, specified the CEO.
McCrimmon also said he expected his goalie to be ready for training camp.
Recently, the Knights awarded Lehner a five-year, $ 25 million contract. Vegas acquired the Chicago Blackhawks last February.
The Swede was then preferred to goalkeeper Marc-André Fleury in the playoffs held this summer.
Regarding the use of his masked men, McCrimmon was content to say that the two men were going to be his “keepers at the start of training camp and the season”.
We can therefore deduce that Fleury will not be traded before the start of the 2020-2021 campaign.
