COVID-19: number of cases down in Quebec, but up in Chaudière-Appalaches

The number of COVID-19 infections in the Capitale-Nationale has halved compared to the day before, while the increase continued in Chaudière-Appalaches.

Today’s report in the Capitale-Nationale shows 59 cases, 70 less than the 129 the day before.

This is by far the best result of the last 10 days. During this period, she had counted between 91 and 272.

In Chaudière-Appalaches, the number of cases increased to 85, 19 more than the day before.

This is a level comparable to the situation last week when from October 20 to 24, Chaudière-Appalaches showed daily reports ranging from 88 to 98 cases.

Elsewhere, the number of cases for Bas-Saint-Laurent is 12 (up 6), Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean 19 (down 20), and Gaspésie-Îles-de-la- Madeleine of 17 (+3)

Provincial report

The whole province now has 929 new infections, a drop of 34, 17 deaths, 526 hospitalizations (-1) including 89 (-2) in intensive care.

So far the coronavirus has affected 102,814 people in Quebec and killed 6,189.
