Les Producteurs de grains du Québec (PGQ) welcomes the 2020-2030 Sustainable Agriculture Plan (PAD), which aims in particular to support agricultural businesses to improve their environmental performance and reduce the use of pesticides by 15%.

Unveiled Thursday by the Minister of Agriculture, this plan is “in line with the actions carried out for several years […] in order to build a more sustainable and efficient agriculture ”, according to the Producers of grains of Quebec (PGQ).

“It is by focusing on our Quebec producers and by continuing to invest our efforts in research that we will succeed in creating together, a sustainable agriculture”, indicated in a press release Christian Overbeek, president of the PGQ, Monday.

“We are convinced that our future discussions with the government will allow optimal application of the investment programs and incentives proposed in the Sustainable Agriculture Plan,” added Mr. Overbeek.
