No user of the hospital center has contracted COVID-19, apart from the 21 currently hospitalized due to the virus.
Due to an outbreak of COVID-19 cases, the IUCPQ carried out a massive screening of 1,400 people, i.e. all of its users and employees present in clinical sectors on October 12 and 13.
A second preventive screening will be carried out on October 18 and 19.
To date, 44 employees who tested positive have been removed from work.
All users tested
“Considering the context of community contamination, management continuously ensures that any employee presenting symptoms associated with the coronavirus is detected. […] In addition, all users hospitalized at the Institute undergo a screening test upon admission, whether they are symptomatic or not, ”said the establishment in a press release on Thursday.
“The situation is therefore under control and management wishes to reassure the population that it is completely safe to come to the Institute to receive the care and services required, whether in a situation of ’emergency or by appointment,’ we add.
