Deaths on the rise in Quebec

Quebec is experiencing a sharp increase in deaths linked to COVID-19. Public Health reports, Thursday, 30 new victims and 969 additional cases, for a total of 6005 dead and 89,963 people infected since the start of the pandemic.

Of the recorded deaths, eight occurred in the past 24 hours, 20 occurred between October 8 and October 13, and two people died before October 8.

However, the total number of deaths stands at 6,005 due to the withdrawal of two deaths which, upon investigation, were not attributable to COVID-19.

THE SITUATION IN QUEBEC AS OF OCTOBER 15, 2020

– 89,963 people infected (+969)

– 6005 deaths (+30)

– 493 people hospitalized (+5)

– 83 people in intensive care (+3)

The samples taken on October 13 amounted to 24,612, for a total of 2,723,045.
