According to the information obtained, the hospitals affected by the ward closures are l’Enfant-Jésus, CHUL and Saint-François-D’Assise.

The staff concerned will be assigned to the treatment unit for patients with COVID-19 at the Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus.

The CHU de Québec must announce it at a press briefing this Tuesday afternoon, around 3 p.m.

Nancy Hogan, president of the Interprofessional Union of the CHU de Québec, indicates that she is aware of the situation.

“At first, the transfer was done on a voluntary basis, but there are no more volunteers,” she drops. Operating theaters are currently being relieved in order to have staff. ”

She recalls that a ministerial decree related to the pandemic authorizes the employer to do so.

“It’s unfortunate and special, but there were already a lot of people missing before the start of the second wave,” she continues. We make sure that employees have personal protective equipment and that they have training. ”
