LIVE | New regions in the red zone from Friday

Even if the efforts of the last few weeks seem to be bearing fruit, the government on Tuesday extended its red zone to all of Montérégie, Center-du-Québec and the Capitale-Nationale, including Charlevoix.

Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean for its part falls into the orange zone.

The Prime Minister recalled that indoor gatherings remain the main source of the spread of the virus. In this perspective, the government “is not ready to stop preventing large gatherings inside,” warned Mr. Legault.

Quebec reported 815 new positive cases on Tuesday, down for a fourth consecutive day.

“There is every reason to believe that the efforts are yielding results,” said François Legault, who congratulated Quebecers for their respect for the instructions.
