World’s top golf player Dustin Johnson has COVID-19 and has retired from the CJ Cup which will be held at Shadow Creek Club in Las Vegas this weekend.
The PGA Tour made the announcement on Tuesday. The American had a test that turned out positive after he felt symptoms of the disease. He will now respect the instructions of the public health authorities and the necessary period of isolation.
“Obviously I’m very disappointed,” Johnson said in a statement. I was looking forward to participating in the competition this week, but I will do everything to come back as soon as possible. ”
Johnson has not taken part in a tournament since the United States Open, from September 17 to 20. He finished sixth with a total of 285 (+5). He has 23 career PGA titles.
