Interregional travel: Dams at the limits of Quebec

The Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) will set up roadblocks at the limits of its territory, Saturday and Sunday, in order to make motorists aware of the restrictions on travel between regions.

The police force will call on additional personnel who will be deployed in particular in the areas of the Pont de Québec, Route 138 in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures and Boulevard Sainte-Anne in Beauport.

Police officers could move to other locations if they deem it necessary.

Remember that residents in the red zone are asked to avoid traveling to other regions, particularly those where the alert level is lower, except in the event of essential travel, for example for students and workers, for a shared custody or for the transport of goods.

There is no question of prohibiting the passage to anyone nor of submitting intervention reports, given that this rule is a recommendation and not a formal prohibition, said SPVQ lieutenant Yannick Berrouard.
