Several lingering rumors will send rowdy wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Seattle Seahawks shortly, and quarterback Russell Wilson believes the 32-year-old deserves his chance.
Pivot did some public and staff lobbying for his team to take over Brown’s services for the ninth week of activities. “AB” must first complete his eight-game suspension from the NFL for being guilty of theft and two other minor offenses.
“I think Antonio certainly took steps [dans la bonne direction] and like I said, no one is perfect, Wilson told ESPN on Thursday. From conversations I have had with him, he is remorseful and he shows humility. I pray that he continues to improve, like everyone else. ”
Even though he hasn’t played much in the past year and a half, Brown has yet to be considered one of the best in his profession, Wilson believes.
“The reality with Antonio is that he’s been through some tough times in his life, especially recently,” he said. I think he’s been through a lot of things that he wished he could pick up from the start, or wished he hadn’t said, whatever. I believe he is a special player. I don’t know what will happen with him or how serious it is that he can end up with us. ”
Brown has struggled to find a niche in the NFL since applying to leave the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019. He was subsequently released in quick succession by the Oakland Raiders and Patriots. from New England, in part for further trouble with the law.
