A man in his sixties stabbed in Limoilou

A man in his sixties was stabbed around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning in the Limoilou borough in Quebec.

According to information from the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ), the patrollers intervened on the 8e Avenue after receiving a call for a stabbing altercation.

The victim, a man in his sixties, “suffered injuries to his chest and knees,” said SPVQ lieutenant Vincent Bois.

The man was transported to a hospital center in the region. There is no fear for his life, although he was bleeding heavily when help arrived.

The forty-year-old suspect was arrested on the spot by the patrol officers for armed assault, death threats and breach of contract.

The assault would have taken place in a marital context and the couple would be known to the police.

The judicial investigation service contributed to on-site analyzes, while the case will be handled by the SPVQ’s Major Crimes Module.
