Arnold Schwarzenegger had heart surgery

American actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is recovering from heart surgery, the second in as many years.

The “Terminator” star posted a photo on Twitter on Friday of himself in a hospital bed with his thumbs up.

“Thanks to the Cleveland Clinic team, I have a new aortic valve to go with my new pulmonary valve from my last operation,” he wrote in his post.

He added that he feels “fantastic” and has already “walked the streets of Cleveland to admire your incredible statues”.

According to the magazine People, the operation occurs two years after another operation to replace a pulmonary valve.

Due to a congenital heart defect, Arnold Schwarzenegger already had an aortic valve replacement in 1997. The same year, he also had a pulmonary valve replacement, reports the magazine People.
