Nearly $ 1 million for youth mental health

Quebec is granting $ 900,000 in financial assistance to Tel-Jeunes to support the organization that has been in greater demand since the start of the pandemic.

“The aid granted will make it possible to respond effectively to the increase in demand for services and to intensify activities during the health crisis”, we read in a press release issued by the government.

The Minister for Health and Social Services, Lionel Carmant, observed the relevance of the organization dedicated to mental health among young people.

“Last spring, we saw how essential the services Tel-jeunes are to help young people and their parents in such difficult times,” he says.

He would also like to thank the workers who help young people.

“Thank you to the organization’s workers for their listening and their compassion. These qualities are crucial in helping people feel less alone with their distress in this unprecedented context that is straining our community, ”says Mr. Carmant.
