The Minister for Health and Social Services, Lionel Carmant, said Thursday, in a press release, that this investigation “aims to shed light on the process that would have led to the non-retention of reports lodged with the Directorate of youth protection [DPJ] of the Capitale-Nationale ”.

Its report is due on December 5.

Ms. Dionne, who has 35 years of experience, headed the Montreal DYP, among other things, from 2008 to 2018.

“I ask Ms. Dionne to shed light on this issue. I want to know exactly what happened with the reports that were received at the DPJ de la Capitale-Nationale. It will be able to have access to all the documents that will enable it to complete its investigation, ”Minister Carmant indicated.
