Montreal Canadiens players will appreciate the presence of striker Tyler Toffoli in their locker room, faith of Antoine Roussel.
While on the show “JiC” on Tuesday, the Vancouver Canucks forward had only good things to say about the new CH acquisition.
“He’s a damn good teammate! He is able to rally the players to the cause. He will bring more goals for Montreal, but he is also a player who can face the best lines, ”said the Frenchman.
Roussel made no secret that he would have liked to see the Canucks retain Toffoli’s services.
“I’m disappointed that he was let go. He had integrated very well into our team. Of course, it would have been great to be able to keep him in Vancouver. ”
The former Chicoutimi Saguenéens also highlighted Toffoli’s winning attitude.
“It’s always a plus to have a guy who has already won in the team. People are going to love him because he can take his game up a notch when it matters. ”
On Monday, managing director Marc Bergevin awarded Toffoli a four-year contract worth a total of $ 17 million. The latter spent the end of the 2019-2020 regular season and the last playoffs with the Canucks. He had previously played seven seasons with the Los Angeles Kings.
