This was indicated by the Prime Minister, François Legault, at a press conference on Tuesday, after having sent his condolences to the family of two young boys found dead in a residence on the night of Saturday to Sunday.

“It’s always impossible to understand when someone kills two young children. We wonder why, why we come to this, ”he lamented.

The Minister for Health, Lionel Carmant, will thus try to shed light on what happened to the Youth Protection Department (DPJ) of the Capitale-Nationale.

According to relatives of the two young children who were allegedly murdered, this organization had already received reports about the man accused of two second degree murders on Monday.

This investigation is in addition to three others already initiated respectively by the Sûreté du Québec, the Coroner’s Office and the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse (CDPDJ).

The report of the investigation launched by Minister Lionel Carmant is expected on December 5, 2020, his cabinet said in a press release on Tuesday.
