Health Canada once again announced on Tuesday a recall of hand sanitizers containing ethanol that carry health risks.
This is the case with Last Best Brewing and Distilling from the company of the same name and Nomad from the Rocky Mountain Soap Company which contain technical grade ethanol which is not authorized. This type of ethanol is not suitable for hand washing. These products also did not contain the risk statements on their labels.
In addition, Prairie Potions Purify gel and spray, as well as Sanix alcohol gel in 250ml and 4l formats were also singled out for containing an “unacceptable ingredient, methanol,” Health Canada reported by communicated.
