Mattias Janmark joins the Blackhawks

Forward Mattias Janmark left Texas for Illinois on accepting a one-season deal with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. This agreement will bring him $ 2.25 million.

Janmark has played all of his National Hockey League (NHL) games with the Dallas Stars after being drafted in the third round by the Detroit Red Wings in 2013.

In 2019-2020, he totaled six goals and 21 points in 62 games. He added a net and seven assists in 26 playoff games during his trip to the Stanley Cup Final.

In his career, the Swede has scored 46 goals and 109 points in 297 outings. He had missed the entire 2016-2017 campaign with a knee injury.
