Born for a bun

I don’t know how we can explain this.

Is it because of the Conquest? About our minority status in North America? From our past as water carriers?

Still, it’s crazy how Quebecers are content with little.

How much we accept the unacceptable.

As if it was inevitable. Like we deserve this.

SCANDALUS DEADLINES

Look what we’re learning these days.

The average wait time to find a family doctor is 477 days. One year for vulnerable people.

That, despite the fact that we paid a billion dollars to family physicians to make themselves more available.

Is this acceptable? Of course not !

But we accept it.

Shrugging the shoulders.

A 96-year-old woman had to wait four days on a stretcher in a hospital emergency room before getting a room.

In the midst of a pandemic.

Is this acceptable? Of course not !

But we accept it.

Like it’s part of life.

A 95-year-old man struggling to recover from a stroke has had to move five times in 10 months.

Seniors’ residence, intermediate residence, private residence in the living environment, palliative care home, CHSLD …

Is this acceptable? Of course not ! It’s a scandal, a shame!

But we accept it.

BEN COUDONC

The government has gobbled up $ 1.3 trillion in a broken emergency communications system (RENIR).

It works so badly (the frequencies do not pass through certain walls, ordeal !!!) that the police and paramedics who were to use it shun it.

Is this acceptable? Absolutely not !

It is a shameless waste of public money. Of your money, of my money.

But we read that in The newspaper, and we are not even surprised.

In fact, it is the opposite that would surprise us: that the system works …

The justice system is so clogged that we have been forced to release a man who was accused of having slaughtered his wife and five Hells Angels accused of murder.

Is this acceptable? Of course not !

Can you imagine all the money we spent to carry out the SharQc investigation, which targeted the Hells?

We are talking about an operation which led to the arrest of 156 people and which cost at least $ 50 million!

All this wasted!

“Okay, folks, you’re free! The evidence is too voluminous and the accused too numerous, the justice system had eyes bigger than its belly, take your things and go home! “

Is this acceptable? Of course not !

It is a farce, an admission of helplessness in the face of criminal gangs!

But we accept it.

We read that in The newspaper, we say to ourselves “Ben coudonc” while taking a sip of coffee, and we turn the page.

GOOD DOUGH

Why do we accept this?

Schools crumbling, a failing health system despite all the money invested in it, a clogged justice system …

The worst COVID-19 record in Canada.

And we don’t get angry.

What is our problem?

Why are we so good, so soft?
