Sometimes difficult to enforce the rules of distancing

It is not always easy for event organizers to enforce physical distancing and wearing a mask.

The organization of this hockey tournament has however put in place all the necessary measures: hand sanitizer at the entrance to the arena, volunteers reminding people that physical distancing and wearing a mask must be respected.

“During that evening, we saw that there was starting to be overwhelming. We reacted immediately. We have stopped bringing people in. We also had a squad on site to remind people to wear the mask, ”the Bob Bissonnette Classic organization told TVA Nouvelles.

The deputy director of Complexe 2 Glaces Honco de Lévis, where the tournament was held, confirms that it is often necessary to repeat health measures to be heard.

“It’s not always easy to deal with it all because people are happy to meet up and experience an event like that. But as long as you do a recall, in most cases people are going to say, “yes, yes, my mask”, and they do. It’s just that there are little oversights here and there, ”explained François Groleau.
