Gatineau: the SQ investigates a murder possibly linked to organized crime

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) set up a command post on Thursday to solve a murder possibly linked to organized crime, in Gatineau, in the Outaouais.

The command post was installed in a parking lot on Montcalm Street, the SQ said in a press release.

The SQ’s Personal Crimes Investigation Department is asking the public for help regarding the circumstances surrounding the murder of Ryan Bracken, 31, on December 11.

The SQ, with the collaboration of the Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG), resumed the investigation, after elements surrounding the murder of Bracken suggest possible links with organized crime.

Anyone who may have witnessed the events can also contact the Central Criminal Information Center of the Sûreté du Québec directly at 1-800-659-4264.
