Classical music: the OSM performs Beethoven’s 7th symphony

The Orchester symphonique de Montréal is presenting Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony via webcast until January 26.

This grandiose work in four movements, nicknamed The apotheosis of dance, will be led by guest conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni.

The OSM will also attack the Poem of love and the sea, by Ernest Chausson, with contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux and the Concerto for orchestra Ana Sokolovic. The Quebec singer and Ana Sokolovic are, for the 2020-2021 season, the artists in residence of the OSM.

Tickets for this concert, recorded on November 24, at the Maison symphonique, are on sale for $ 20 on the OSM website.
