CHSLD Cloutier-du Rivage: vaccinated residents contract COVID-19

Two vaccinated residents of the CHSLD Cloutier-du Rivage in Trois-Rivières contracted COVID-19.

The health authorities are analyzing the situation. The CHSLD was however the first in Mauricie to receive the doses of the Pfizer vaccine in December.

The director of regional public health, Dr. Marie-Josée Godi, is due to take stock on Wednesday. Some 152 residents of the Cloutier-du Rivage accommodation center received the first dose of the vaccine. The outbreak also affects a healthcare worker.

In Mauricie and Center-du-Québec, vaccination continues in CHLSDs. Ten out of 27 establishments received doses. Almost a third of residents in CHSLDs have been vaccinated and nearly 4,000 health workers.
