Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, light vehicle sales in Canada plummeted 20% in 2020, reaching a total of 1,553,555 units. This follows a 3.6% drop in the previous year.
Once again, the auto industry can say a big thank you to trucks and utilities, as cars alone fell 37.1%. Moreover, they only represent a fifth of the market.
