Covid: Ontario could extend the school break after the holidays

The Ontario government is currently considering whether to allow the population to isolate themselves for a few weeks in early January 2021 – after the holiday season – by closing schools for a little longer.

This would not necessarily mean an extension of the vacation.

Education Minister Stephen Lecce hinted Tuesday at a possible return to online education during this period.

At the start of the pandemic, Ontario implemented a system that allowed students to continue their learning while staying at home.

Still questions

Although the question of a possible extension of the holiday season was asked several times to members of the government, Tuesday, few answers were offered.
