Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger underwent surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday.
This is what the Californian training announced, indicating that the 25-year-old athlete should be able to return to play for the start of spring camp.
Bellinger dislocated his shoulder while celebrating the home run he slammed in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves. The outfielder’s long ball broke a tie and allowed his club to reach the World Series.
A team doctor had put his shoulder back in place and he finished the meeting at his post. He also appeared in all games of Major League Baseball’s Ultimate Series.
Remember that the Dodgers were crowned champions of the 2020 major league season, they who triumphed over the Tampa Bay Rays in six games.
In the regular season, Bellinger batted .239 and hit 12 home runs in 56 games. In 18 playoff games, he averaged .212 and sent the ball out of bounds four times.
