“We really have to give Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean a boost,” says François Legault, asking citizens to reduce their contacts there.
The government is still studying different possibilities to allow Quebecers to organize limited gatherings during the holiday season. On Monday, Health Minister Christian Dubé indicated that a game plan should be presented within a week.
Quebec is studying the possibility of allowing gatherings of 10 people from three different households, in addition to closing schools for one month, from December 11 to January 11.
The province reported an additional 982 cases and 24 deaths on Tuesday, bringing the total to 126,054 infected and 6,675 dead since the start of the pandemic.
