For the second time this fall, a McDonald’s restaurant in Pointe-aux-Trembles closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
This is the third temporary closure in the space of seven months for the restaurant located at 12090 rue Sherbrooke Est. It had closed its doors in mid-October, and last April.
“As a measure of extreme caution, the decision was taken to immediately close the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a certified third party. We are working to reopen as quickly and safely as possible and we are determined to do our part to help communities, ”says the restaurateur through community.
The last shift the infected employee worked was on November 12 from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
McDonald’s urged team members who may have been in close contact with the employee to self-isolate until further information is released.
The fast food restaurant chain also invites any customer who visited the restaurant on November 12 to follow the guidance from public health experts.
Recently, many McDonald’s in Montreal have had to temporarily close their doors due to COVID cases, especially in Côte-des-Neiges, LaSalle and Outremont.
