The Orchester symphonique de Québec (OSQ) invites the population of the Capitale-Nationale to come together, reflect and strengthen the ties that unite them following the tragic events of October 31, during a virtual comfort concert which will take place this evening, from 8 p.m. The free musical event including The Journal of Quebec is a partner, will be broadcast live from the Louis-Fréchette room of the Grand Théâtre de Québec on the Orchestra’s social media (Facebook and YouTube), then relayed to numerous partner web platforms
“The Orchestra belongs to the people of Quebec. It is through music, which he plays with them, an essential community role. It is an instrument of gathering and appeasement, it makes a point of being present in such circumstances, while our thoughts are directed towards the victims and their loved ones, ”testifies the President and CEO of the Orchestra, Astrid Chouinard.
The music of Barber, Beethoven, Stölzel, Schumann, Fauré, Mahler and Strauss will then cross the screens to reach all homes, thanks to the OSQ. To know more: osq.org
