Toronto-native artist The Weeknd will perform at the halftime show at the next Super Bowl on February 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
The singer-songwriter delighted his fans by posting the news on his Instagram account on Thursday.
The Weeknd succeeds the duo of Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, who dazzled the planet with their performance at the high mass of American football last February in Miami.
The 30-year-old The Weeknd has several hits, including the song “Blinding Lights”. The full name of the artist is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye.
