Laurentian Highway: it leaks after a collision in the opposite direction

A driver fled after crashing into a car in the opposite direction on the Laurentian highway (73), northbound, in the Charlesbourg area of ​​Quebec, Sunday afternoon.

For some unknown reason, the individual was driving in the opposite direction near kilometer 48, at rue Bernier, when he collided with another motorist at around 1:45 p.m.

Far from stopping, he continued on his way and fled the scene. “Surveillance is given to find him,” said Sergeant Béatrice Dorsainville, of the Sûreté du Québec.

The driver of the vehicle which was struck had to be transported to the hospital where he is treated for minor injuries.

A second collision also took place at roughly the same location, but this time in a southerly direction, around thirty minutes later. Motorists looked away to observe the scene of the first collision, creating a second accident.

Fortunately, this time it was only a material collision, no one was injured. The two accidents created a significant slowdown in the area for about 1 hour.

The authorities are still looking for the driver behind the event.
