Online youth theater: a meeting with Molière

Paralyzed with the closure of theaters, the Tout ‘tout court Festival presents, online, until October 31, the youth play Djeebee, which is aimed at ages eight and over.

Author Anne Bernard-Lenoir’s creation tells the story of Alex, a young Quebecer who meets Molière.

The young man, who struggles to complete an exam where he has to imagine what questions he would ask Molière if he met him, is lucky enough to see the famous 17th century French actor and playwright appear before him.

This short 12-minute comedy is presented free online and directed by Vanessa Seiler. It stars the actors Stéphane Franche and Maxime Mompérousse. The shooting took place on October 1 at the Maison de la culture Maisonneuve.

This presentation takes place on the occasion Festival tout ‘tout court which offers the short form in performing arts of more or less ten minutes. This event, which was to be held indoors, is presented online.

The Festival also offers works intended for an adult clientele. There are five low-cost shows and seven podcast episodes. The Djeebee coin is free. All programming is online at touttoutcourt.com.
