Former Prime Minister Jean Charest is suing the Quebec government, which he accuses of having violated his privacy by leaking information from the Mâchurer investigation into the media.

“In recent years, confidential information about my private and my family has been the subject of several media leaks, he explained in a statement released Friday. These leaks are illegal and furthermore constitute an obstacle to justice. ”
Mr. Charest added that he proposed to the government to apologize publicly or to call a mediator to settle the conflict, without success.
