At the end of a five-day preliminary investigation, Mélissa Webb, the woman accused of the murder of David Frigon in September 2019 in Saint-Sauveur, was put on trial.
Launched earlier this week, the preliminary investigation of Mélissa Webb, accused of the second degree murder of David Frigon in September 2019, ended on Friday with the referral to trial. A decision that was not contested by the lawyer for the 26-year-old woman, Mr.e Sébastien St-Laurent.
The five-day hearing was subject to a publication ban. The case was postponed to the Superior Court in December.
The murder of 42-year-old David Frigon took place on rue Napoléon at the very spot where an armed attack had occurred two weeks earlier. The place where the crime took place was frequented by drug users.
Two people were arrested after the murder and then released. It was only a month later, the 1er November, that Mélissa Webb was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
