Barely a few minutes after hearing François Legault specify what fines will be in effect, some dissatisfied people took to the streets. No masks, no distancing. No problem.

“My body, my choices, civil disobedience is necessary”, we could read on some messages.

“There are no more deaths, it’s over,” tried to explain a protester to an SPVQ patroller.

The police, who did not report any incidents, all stayed behind the protesters.

“We are awaiting direction from management. From tomorrow, we will need a mask, ”said a police officer.

What if the demonstrators are several hundred in front of a few dozen police? “I can not answer that”, finished the agent in front of the fountain of Tourny.

Around 8 p.m., there were still a handful of them braving the rain.
