Virus could go away on its own as early as next spring, microbiologist says

COVID-19 cases could double by December because of the fall weather, but the virus could go away on its own in the spring, according to forecasts by microbiologist Marc Hamilton.

“The epidemic, we do not know how it will behave in an ecosystem favorable to respiratory viruses, he said during an interview with Richard Martineau at QUB radio. […] We arrive at the same time as seasonal flu, colds, viruses travel easily in the air … “

He predicts, however, that the coronavirus could die on its own sooner than we think.

“Potentially next spring […], I wouldn’t be surprised if the virus went away […]. The vaccine […] may happen when the virus is really on its death itself. ”
