COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared in two other high schools in Quebec, while the complete closure of Jean-de-Brébeuf school in Limoilou is now ruled out.

At La Courvilloise high school, located in the Beauport sector, cases have been reported among the players of the cadet football team. Result: the players on this team, along with eight bubble classes, are now in administrative segregation.
At the Polyvalente de Charlesbourg, cases have also been declared and nine bubble classes are now on forced leave at home.
“The two schools remain open,” however specifies the spokesperson for the public health department of the Capitale-Nationale, Annie Ouellet.
The Quebec City region currently has about ten schools where an outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared, that is to say when the virus was transmitted inside the establishment.
Isolated cases of COVID-19 have also been reported in more than 70 schools in the region.
Spread closure
In addition, the complete closure of Jean-de-Brébeuf high school is now ruled out, said Ms. Ouellet.
All the fourth and fifth secondary students at this Limoilou establishment are on forced leave for two weeks, but the first, second and third secondary students will be able to continue to attend their school during the last days.
“The results of the massive screening showed that the cases were mainly concentrated among the fourth and fifth secondary students”, specifies Ms. Ouellet.
