Filming of “Alerts” has begun

After a postponement due to COVID-19, the shooting of “Alerts” finally began on Monday, under the leadership of the director Frédérik D’Amours (“L’Échappée”, “O ‘”, “Lance et compte”).

Derived from “Alerte Amber”, presented to TVA last year, and written by the same author, Julie Hivon (accompanied by a pool of writers), “Alerts” will once again lead us on the track of the investigations of the Special squad for missing persons, with the characters already known: Captain Stéphanie Duquette (Sophie Prégent), director Marc-André Bonenfant (Guy Jodoin), investigative sergeants Renaud Magloire (Frédéric Pierre) and Lily-Rose Bernard (Mylène St -Sauveur) and social worker Dominic Lacroix (Charles-Alexandre Dubé), as well as newcomers such as the sergeant-investigator at the Crimes against the person unit, Guillaume Pelletier (Danny Gilmore), and the criminologist and psychologist at the ‘Victim Assistance Unit, Pénélope Roy (Catherine Bérubé).

The team will be responsible for shedding light, among other things, on the murder of Marilou, Renaud’s sister, which occurred at the end of “Amber Alert”.

Other actors such as Éric Robidoux, Jean-Simon Leduc, Jade Hassoune, Marc Beaupré, Isabelle Vincent, Alice Moreault, Guillaume Laurin and Louise Bombardier will complete the cast.

“Alerts” is an annual series, produced by Pixcom, in collaboration with Quebecor Content, and the first season will have 12 episodes. The broadcast is scheduled for winter 2021, on TVA.
