As announced on December 11 by the Haut-Saint-Laurent MRC, the new public transport service has been active since January 4, 2021.
The new service is offered free of charge on the basis of a regular schedule and without reservations. These are three white minibuses. The destinations will scroll on the front of the vehicles, with the exception of the adapted vehicle. In addition, by spring, the minibuses will be wearing the colors of the MRC and will be easily identified by lettering. Note that the installation of ten bus shelters is scheduled for spring 2021.
Thus, the new service includes two deserted by bus, the line and the blue line allowing to go to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield with stops in Ormstown, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, and Sainte-Barbe and the yellow line allowing to go to get to Mercier, with stops in Huntingdon, Godmanchester, Ormstown, Howick, Très-Saint-Sacrement and Sainte-Martine and the blue line to get to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield with stops in Ormstown, Huntingdon , Godmanchester and Sainte-Barbe. Note that it is possible to follow the route of vehicles in real time on the site or via the application Zenbus.
It is recommended for public transport users exo to review their purchase since the new system allows users to go to Mercier free of charge during the week.
exo: interruption of service in 2021
The agreement between the Municipalities of Ormstown, Howick and Très-Saint-Sacrement and exo ending December 31, 2020 has not been renewed. Consequently, there will be no embarkation or disembarkation by the service ofexo in the territories of the aforementioned municipalities. The service of line 111 ofexo will end at stop 79061 on the territory of the municipality of Sainte-Martine.
It will be possible for users to take the MRC du Haut-Saint-Laurent bus transportation, Monday to Friday, free of charge to or from Mercier.
