Sherbrooke: the author of a wanted hit and run

The Service de police de Sherbrooke (SPS) is asking the public for help in identifying a man of about 70 who hit a flagman before fleeing.

The facts date back to December 9 when the septuagenarian collided with a flagman in front of the Fleurimont Hospital.

The victim wearing an orange jacket had stopped a dark blue SUV to allow pedestrians to cross the street, the SPS said on Wednesday.

At one point, the white horse driver collided with the signaller who was then from behind.

The driver informed the flagman that he was going to come back to him, after disembarking a woman at the main entrance of the hospital.

If the woman did get out of the vehicle, her driver left with her SUV without returning to the scene of the accident.

If anyone has any information on this man, they can contact the police at 819 821-5544 or 819 821-5555.
