Lester-B.-Pearson school board: man suspected of fraud surrenders to police

A man suspected of being involved in a fraud scheme at the Lester-B.-Pearson School Board (CSLBP) in Dorval surrendered to authorities on Tuesday.

Naveen Kolan faces several charges, including fraud, breach of trust, production of false documents and use of false documents, the Permanent Anti-Corruption Unit (UPAC) said in a statement.

He was released with a promise to appear at the Montreal courthouse on January 20, along with two co-accused employees arrested on November 20.

The facts alleged against the trio would have occurred between 2014 and 2016.

The suspects have developed “a scheme of fraud, production and use of false documents which will have caused a risk of financial damage to the LBPSB,” had mentioned the UPAC during the arrest of the two employees of the LBPSB, Caroline Mastantuono and Christina Mastantuono.
