Fans at Senators games?

Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk is still hopeful of welcoming fans to the Canadian Tire Center during the regular season, despite the ravages of the coronavirus pandemic.

The businessman also revealed his intentions on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

“I submitted [aux autorités concernées] a robust public safety plan that will accommodate 6,000 supporters. […] This includes health protocols providing for sufficient social distancing, rapid testing and wearing a mask at all times inside the arena, ”he wrote.

All teams in the Canadian section of the National Hockey League have obtained authorization from their respective province to play at their usual home in 2020-2021. However, the meetings will be held in camera until further notice. The “Senses” are scheduled to start the campaign with two home games against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday and Saturday.
