(Brossard) Forwards Corey Perry and Michael Frolik were not claimed on waivers and the Montreal Canadiens assigned them to his reserve group to start the season.
The Habs also indicated that forward Ryan Poehling, defender Cale Fleury and goalkeeper Charlie Lindgren will also be part of the reserve group, which will accompany the team on its travels.
Perry and Frolik agreed to one-season and US $ 750,000 contracts with the Canadiens in the weeks leading up to camp.
Perry, 35, had five goals and 16 assists in 57 games last season with the Dallas Stars. He then helped his team reach the Stanley Cup final, amassing five goals and four assists in 27 games in the playoffs.
Frolik, 32, had six goals and eight assists in 57 games with the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabers last winter.
The Canadiens start the 2020-21 season Wednesday against the Maple Leafs in Toronto.
