Usually, every first Thursday in December, public figures and volunteers of the movement start to swarm the street corners of Montreal to collect donations for food aid organizations and counters.
Even if the bells of La grande guignolée des media will not ring in the streets, this Thursday will be “a great day of solidarity throughout Quebec”.
The big media drive, whose 2020 edition takes place under the generic theme “Gift list”, suggests five actions to be done for this Thursday.
By December 24, you can make a donation in money or non-perishable food in Maxi and Provigo grocery stores and Jean Coutu pharmacies.
In addition, you can donate online on the site guignolee.ca or by texting “NOEL”, for an automatic donation of $ 10, to number 20222.
About twenty artists have agreed to be ambassadors of the movement for this 20th edition of La grande guignolée des medias.
Since its creation in 2001, La grande guignolée des medias has raised more than $ 45 million and thousands of kilos of food.
