Ford and Volkswagen | Mustang Mach-E and Volkswagen ID.4 confirm estimated range

Two particularly anticipated electric models from Ford and Volkswagen have seen their estimated autonomy certified by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The Ford Mustang Mach-E will finally have an estimated range of 370 km for the entry-level rear-wheel drive model (75.7 kWh battery). The standard version with all-wheel drive will be able to cover a slightly shorter distance, i.e. 340 km.

It is the rear-wheel drive version with extended autonomy (98.8 kWh battery) which will be able to drive the longest, over 483 km to be more precise.

The Mustang Mach-E will be offered in early 2021 at a price that will oscillate between $ 52,495 and $ 65,745, depending on the version chosen.

Volkswagen ID.4 also hits target

Another highly anticipated crossover, the Volkswagen ID.4 has also had its 402 km range certified by the American agency for rear-wheel-drive livery. Energy is taken from an 82 kWh battery. However, it is still not known how many kilometers will be able to cover the all-wheel drive variant powered by two engines.

The ID.4 will hit the Canadian market a little later than the Mustang Mach-E, in summer 2021.
